Member Tutorials - 1.0 Member's Dashboard




Welcome back to the Windsor Local Member Tutorials.


In this tutorial we will look at an overview of the Member's Dashboard.


Login


Members have their own login at Windsor Local.

The login is at the top right,  in a link called 'Member Login'.

Click here to log in.

Once you login,  you will be sent to your Dashboard.

You can always get back to your Dashboard,  or Logout,  by going back to your Welcome link at the top right.


Dashboard Sections


There are 6 Sections in your Dashboard. 

The Dashboard is where you manage the following:


Section 1:  The 'Manage Listing' Section


This includes:


  1. (a) Basic Information,  such as company name,  contact name,  address,  phone numbers,  website and social media links.
  2. (b) A Profile photo,  logo,  and cover photo.
  3. (c) Additional Details,  like the categories you specialize in,  a brochure as well as more detailed information about your business,  organization or profession.
  4. (d) The 'About Me or About Us' section,  where you can add as much information as you like,  including text,  images,  and video. And finally,
  5. (e) The Setup for the ability to login from Facebook or Google.


Section 2: The 'Account Details' Section


This includes:


  1. (a) The area to Verify your listing.
  2. (b) The area to Adjust your billing information.
  3. (c) The place to Change your password, and
  4. (d) Another way to Logout.


Section 3: The QR Code Image


You can use this QR code image anywhere.  When someone scans the image with their mobile phone,  it will bring them to your Windsor Local Listing on their phone.  That person can then learn more about you and your business,  as well as call or send you a message through Windsor Local.


Section 4: The Embeddable Image Showing Your Membership in Windsor Local


You can copy and paste this code into your website's source code, in order to display it anywhere on your website. It allows you to show your support for local businesses.


Section 5: The 'Publish Content' Section


This includes all the different posts you can create,  which become part of your Profile Listing, each in a separate tab. 

Post types you can create to promote your business are as follows:


  • Community Articles,  which are similar to blog posts.
  • Audio Posts.
  • Classified Ads,  for any goods or services you would like to sell.
  • Deals and Coupons,  to allow sales and discounts on any of your products or services.
  • Events,  for any type of event you would like to publicize.
  • Job Listings,  for any personnel you are looking for.
  • Photo Albums,  to show off your company,  staff,  products,  services,  events,  etc.
  • Products and Services,  to publicize in more detail what you offer.
  • Real Estate Properties,  to show off your properties for those selling real estate.
  • Video Posts,  which can show videos for anything to do with your business,  including sales videos.
  • Member Discussions,  which are discussions only available between the Members of Windsor Local.
  • Giving Back Requests,  which are requests for help from nonprofit organizations and charities looking for volunteers,  sponsors and anyone who would like to donate time,  money,  products or services.
  • Sub Accounts,  for those who have multiple listings in Windsor Local but would prefer to have only one login in order to manage all listings.


We will explain each of these posts in more detail in further tutorials.


Section 6: 'Do-It-All Sidebar' Section


This includes:


  • Just about everything already mentioned,  conveniently placed in one easy sidebar on the left.  You can edit anything from any section here.
  • It will also show you how many posts you have for each post type.
  • You can modify your posts,  and also add new ones here in addition to the 'Publish Content' section.
