Join us as we celebrate three of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra's most dedicated musicians who have served the organization for 25 years or more: Associate Concertmaster Kimberly Kaloyanides Kennedy, Schwartz and Shapero Family Chair; Assistant Principal Flute Sharon Sparrow, Bernard and Eleanor Robertson Chair; and Principal Trombone Kenneth Thompkins.
Following the 10:45 Coffee Concert where honoree Kenneth Thompkins will perform the world premiere of Carlos Simons’ Trombone Concerto titled Troubled Waters, guests are invited to attend the luncheon as we take the time to honor these remarkable individuals for their contributions to the DSO.
An annual DSO tradition, this delightful event will be filled with great food and heartfelt tributes to some of the most outstanding musicians in our community. Come celebrate with us and recognize these magnificent artists for their many years of service to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
Please consider sponsoring a musician at $75 or sponsoring the luncheon at $2,500 (seating for 4 and program recognition).
